There is no golden waterfall in Vietnam, however, there is a place that so splendid and beautiful that people gave it “one-of-the-kind” name: Thac Bac or internationally known as Silver Waterfall. This Waterfall becomes one of the indispensable tourist addresses in the journey of discovering Sapa.

A wonderful silver waterfall picture 

It lies beside National Highway No 4D, about 12 km from Sapa Town centre. It is created by sources of pure water from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. Many people said that, from the distance, the Silver waterfall looks like a white dragon looking down from the high sky. Taking a wiser eye-sight, you can see a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the last forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. The waterfalls are from the height of more than 100 meters. Standing at the foot of Silver Waterfall, between the vast heaven and earth and the majestic mountains from afar, tourists can imagine how small they are at the middle of majestic nature. Taking a few foot step to the waterfall, suddenly, the whole scenery appears right in front of your eyes. At the foot of the waterfall is the water bubbles splashing created by the strong water line while at the top of the Waterfall droplets flying out like clouds. By this enchanting beauty that has attracted numerous tourists to travel and explore this unique Sapa Attractions.

The white water flowing of Silver Waterfall falls down the stream all year round. It takes about 30 minutes by motorbike or bus from Sapa Town for tourists to visit one of few most beautiful waterfalls in Sapa in particular and waterfalls in Vietnam in general. A minor note here that you will need to pay for an entrance ticket. The price is 20,000 VND/ person (~$ 1) so you need to bring Vietnamese cash.   Almost all of the tourists participating in Sapa tours do not miss the tourist site. Enjoying the magnificent natural scenery on the way to the Waterfall alongside with the pine forests, the chayote gardens and the lush fields of roses will definitely seduce you and make you want to come back here over and over again. A trip to Silver Waterfall is one of the most unforgettable things to do in your journey.

Lots of steps go to the bridge of silver waterfall

Not only that you have chance to discover Silver Waterfall, far only about 2 kilometres, but tourists will also set foot on Tram Ton, where departs the journey of conquering Fansipan peak and tourists will have a chance to participate in conquering the roof of Indochina. It seems like travelling to this Waterfall is not difficult, however, there are still some significances to keep in mind:

- Bring Vietnamese Cash to pay for entrance ticket

- Dress comfortably in warm clothes since the summer is always cool so wearing a thick jacket and trekking shoes will keep you warm and safe from sloppy road

- Bring raincoat in case of raining or splashing water from the falls

- Do not litter. Carry a small bag for garbage.

- Lastly, bring a camera, portable charger, your phone, and a book or a notebook to take notes or to write down your memories.
